We have no information as to how Dr. Bachmann formed his opinion, but the circumstances surrounding this quote are not very promising.

Slide #52 - Hugo Bachmann

The Tages Anzeiger Article

In this slide, Gage's second expert is quoted, Dr. Hugo Bachmann of Switzerland.

This article is the only indication of Dr. Bachmann's opinion, and it is very scant as to details on how Dr. Bachman formed this opinion. For example, Brent Blanchard looked at the seismic readouts of several seismographs, from his own company's to those of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. That produced the necessary evidence for him to say that no explosives were used in this building.

Blanchard also used a great deal more evidence. Protec was used to document the cleanup activity, and so they can speak to the conditions on site from their first-hand involvement. They used thousands of personal photographs from workers at the site, and also had archives of original news broadcasts from the day due to the nature of their work. All of this gives them

What evidence did Dr. Bachmann consider in forming his opinion? As Ryan Mackey points out, he is free to present it in a more informative way.

What about Jorg Schneider?

Interestingly enough, there is a second person mentioned in the article and Gage doesn't use this expert at all:

"In my opinion the building WTC 7 was, with great probability, professionally demolished," says Hugo Bachmann, Emeritus ETH-Professor of Structural Analysis and Construction. And also Jorg Schneider, likewise emeritus ETH-Professor of Structural Analysis and Construction, interprets the few available video recordings as evidence that "the building WTC 7 was with great probability demolished."

Why doesn't Gage use Jorg Schneider? Is it because Schneider has only seen a few videos, and this isn't enough on which to establish an informed opinion on 7 World Trade? We may never know.

We do know that the author of this article is Daniele Ganser, who has contributed to the conspiracy theory books of David Ray Griffin. If, as I suspect, he was involved in how much information Dr. Bachmann and Dr. Schneider received concerning 7 World Trade, then Dr. Bachmann's opinion can be dismissed. His expertise isn't enough to overcome a paltry amount of slanted evidence.

Gage is, of course, free to reveal more of the evidence Dr. Bachmann examined. My suspicions are that Gage will never do this.
