Slide #56 - Clip from Loose Change
Another Regrettable Choice
I've already mentioned Gage's use of 911 Mysteries, a film riddled with error and fact manipulation. In this slide, he is playing a clip from Loose Change, 2nd Edition, which is just as bad as the first.
I don't have time to get into a full debunking of this entire film (in any of its four incarnations), but you can find the best debunking of this film in video form: Screw Loose Change - Not Freakin' Again Edition

American Free Press
The section of Loose Change that Gage uses here is particularly heinous, because its source is the rabidly antisemitic online site, American Free Press. The owner of the paper is a noted Holocaust denier. The author of the article Dylan Avery quotes, Christopher Bollyn, is currently a fugitive from justice along with his family after drunkenly confronting police officers at his house and resisting arrest.
Bollyn has a remarkable gift for producing quotes and facts that no one else can verify independantly. This quote of Mark Loizeaux is one of those unverifiable quotes. Christopher Bollyn is simply not a reputable source.
Reports of "Molten Metal"
However, there are reports of molten metal from several sources more easily verified. (I can only guess that Avery quoted this one to help give American Free Press a little more unquestioning exposure.)
Personally, I have no problem accepting reports of molten metal under the Pile in the weeks following the collapses of those buildings. They come from a lot of sources, mostly firefighters.
But I also recognize that conditions under the Pile could quickly have built up high temperatures to the point of melting the different metals present in the pile, perhaps even steel. All three buildings fell with their office contents intact. Controlled demolitionists strip their targets of everything possible. No one wants to sort through even the miminal pile left in a controlled demolition for drywall, carpets, and other flammable materials. And the last thing anything wants is a fire left in the debris pile!
It's important to note that no one took any samples of this molten material. No one can say conclusively that it was actually molten steel that they saw. I'm quite sure that what people saw resembled molten steel to them, and indeed, most of these accounts don't say "molten steel" as much as they say it "looked like molten steel." Such figurative speech shouldn't be considered a scientifically rigorous description of the material the various people saw.
Gage has no scientifically rigorous evidence of molten steel under WTC 7's debris pile. And even if he did, he certainly has no evidence at all of anything molten before the collapse.
And conditions before the collapse are the only thing worth considering when it comes to figuring out how the building collapsed. That's why FEMA and NIST don't mention the molten metal reports. They just don't have any relevance to the question of why the buildings fell down.
