In one of his more spectacular errors, Gage presents evidence of pancaked floors at the WTC site.

This evidence is not sourced specifically to WTC 7 and is likely from the towers.

Gage's ninth point is denied.

Slide #59 - Meteorites

What Are These Things?

In this slide, Gage concludes his WTC 7 section on thermite with a video and picture of the "meteorites" discovered at Ground Zero.

But what are these strange conglomerates? Gage describes them as previously molten metal, but is that true?

The Picture

The Meteorite Rusting in Bands

"Aluminum does not rust," says Gage, and this is correct. But does iron rust in distinct bands?

Look at the picture. Why would a solid chunk of iron or steel rust in bands like that? It's almost as if there's a layer of iron, and then a layer of concrete and other debris, and then another layer of iron, another layer of concrete, and so on.

Pancakes

Several of these large chunks of debris are kept along with other preserved debris from the attacks at JFK Airport in New York.

Large pieces of debris, likened to meteorites by preservationists, are actually several floors of the towers compressed together as the buildings collapsed. Furniture, twisted metal, pipes, cords and even papers with legible type are visible. The pieces are kept in a humidity-controlled tent in Hangar 17 of Kennedy International Airport.

Now perhaps Gage would like to explain how paper with legible type can be present in a hunk of previous molten iron. I don't envy him the task.

These chunks of debris were not previously molten. The immense force generated from the falling towers compressed these floors together, along with everything caught in between these floors.

Yet Gage was just asking, "Where are the pancakes?" Here they are, Mr. Gage, in your very own presentation!

I Thought We Were Talking About WTC 7

Gage presents no evidence that any of these large chunks came from WTC 7. None. Zilch. Nada. Zero.

Even if a new investigation were required, who could trust Gage or any of his associates to carry it out? He was just asking for evidence of pancakes, and then he presents it himself. He hasn't a clue as to where these meteorites came from in the debris pile. He's mangled the Eagar quote. He's avoided more likely explanations for the high temperatures in the Pile like they were the plague.

And he keeps presenting information about the towers in a consideration of Building 7.

In the four slides he just used to attempt his proof that molten metal was found at 7 World Trade, he has referred to that building precisely once: the hot spot aerial photogram. Yes, Mr. Gage, it got really hot under the pile in a way unsustainable by thermite.

Needless to say, Gage's next-to-last point, his ninth, is denied. Though I don't dispute that metal may have been molten underneath Building 7, it could not have been from thermite. It could only have been from regular fires under the Pile. Gage has proven nothing here but his inability to rightly handle evidence.
